This outfit post is one week too late.Been so busy with school…It’s about that time of the semester.I always try to make time for blogging though . 🙂
Last Friday I was in a pair of floral print leggings,a red chiffon top and brown ballet flats.I was also rocking a cream bag and a necklace with a cream pendant. The hairstyle is the one I had in my most recent post.
Another accessory…my manicured nails.
Hope y’all have an awsome week guys. 🙂
Your favorite fashionista.
One of my readers asked me to do a post on how to style long braids. What I love about long braids is they’re easy to style.I’ve had my braids on for 3 weeks now and I’ve started getting bored of them so I looked for ways to style them here are a few ideas ladies. 🙂
This is a simple classy way of wearing your braids. It doesn’t take much time so you’re good to go in no time. You can make the bun anywhere on your head. You can make it at the centre, really low, really high like this or even at the side depending on what you want.
2.IF YOU LIKE IT THEN YOU SHOULDA PUT A HEADBAND ON IT..
I love love love this stuff.Very stylish, easy and functional.I have like a whole collection of alice bands.Though I have to admit they make me lazy to try anything else sometimes because I can just use them ,guilty! 😀 Here’s me in a bunch of them:
Here’s my friend Bella in a chic updo on my birthday.
I found a link to a video showing how you can style your hair like this and 3 OTHER ways.It may be hard at first, but you get better with practice. It’s really fun! It’s http://mo-am.com/2012/07/23/4-creative-ways-to-style-your-box-braids/
Here’s another one,it’s a bun with a twist at the front:
So,last week I kinda tried the above updo, but in a different way(Outfit post for this updo coming soon):
You can tie it up in a really high ponytail like Solange:
On Saturday my friends and I went for an event, ‘The Mingle’ at Ngong Raecourse. It was as it sounds…a place to mingle and have a good time. There were games ,food ,DJ’s(music) and the fashion there was sooooo good! I saw alot of colour, prints, vintage, chocker necklaces and fabulous bags.Daaamn.
I was in a monochrome vintage top, faux leather leggings,a yellow waist belt, black faux suede ballet flats ,carrying a black cross-body bag.
My friends ,from left, Zain,Bella of bellathecoffeeberry.wordpress.com and Lynn.We had an awsome time!
When I say awsome I mean this:
It was a great event.Maybe we’ll go back some day…reloaded!
Enjoy your week my good people. 🙂
This was me in church this Sunday:A black lace croped top,a monochromatic midi pencil skirt and black patent leather heels.A monochromatic object basically is one that’s black and white,so my skirt it monochromatic.A monochromatic look can also have a black top and white bottoms or vice versa.
Chanel has since the beginning of time been predominantly monochrome and I love it because of that classic black and white vibe.Their logo is even black and white!
Of course my accessories being my awsome burgundy hair,my black headband(I’m crazy about headbands by the way)my silver studs,my black cross-body bag and that smile 😉
This is going to be quite the long and arduous week for me…CATS and assignments due,but the fashion will not stop! 🙂
I did colour-blocking on two days this week; Monday and Friday.
Me rocking a basic yellow top,a fuchisia pencil skirt and black ballet flats.Just to make it fun I added a cropped denim vest on top.
An orange retro blazer and purple skinnies with purple ballet flats and a blue and white floral top.
Remember,colour is your friend! 😀
This was the dress I wore to church yesterday. A bit of vintage floral…shoulder pads and all! I love love love floral print. It’s fun and flirty and when I saw this dress I had to get it.
So glad I went burgundy on my hair. It’s my new accessory.
This is for this week. The shortest speech in history is by Winston Churchill, know what he said? ”Never, never give up..” and he took his cane and left.I try to live by these words everyday. You should too. 🙂
Have a lovely week people.
A little fashion 101: ”Vintage” is actually used to refer to fashion from 1920 to about 1980.Today I went vintage with this outfit.Check it out 🙂
Off-the-shoulder vintage top,”skin” tights,a black pair of ballet flats and a blag cross-body bag.
Vintage is never complete without out-of-the-park headpiece and big earrings! Behold… My pink bow and big loops..
Plus check out the flower detail on the top
And yaay, the vintage sunglasses ought to do the trick 🙂 :
I wonder if they would approve of this back then…But to all those who used to dress like this(including my mum) ,we are bringing it back!
Hope you’re enjoying your week my good people. 🙂
